Grazer Wechselseitige Versicherung AG (GRAWE for short) is sending out a strong signal for the further development of Graz city centre and is expanding its real estate portfolio by acquiring four important properties. The properties, which were previously owned by Generali Versicherung, are in prime locations and comprise the buildings at Herrengasse 7, 9 and 22–26 and the building at Am Eisernen Tor 3.
With this strategic step, GRAWE is strengthening its position as a leading real estate group and reliable facility management company. The new properties supplement the existing portfolio and exemplify the company’s sustainable and future-oriented commitment.
Generali Versicherung is delighted at the choice of buyer and highlights that GRAWE continues the values and objectives that have always been of pivotal importance for Generali. “In GRAWE, we have found a buyer that shares our values and will continue to further develop Graz city centre and meet the requirements of the tenants with great dedication”, says Axel Sima, Chief Investment Officer at Generali Versicherung.
GRAWE also emphasises the significance of this purchase. “With these properties, we would like to make a contribution to the long-term and positive development of Graz city centre — together and in partnership with our tenants”, explains KR Mag. Klaus Scheitegel, General Manager of GRAWE. The purchase is not only a clear commitment to Graz as a business location but also a positive signal for the future of the city centre.
In addition to being important architecturally, the new properties at Herrengasse and Am Eisernen Tor are also valuable from an economic and a cultural perspective for the city of Graz. With this step, GRAWE is proving once again its role as a reliable partner for the region and as a driving force for a vibrant and sustainable city centre.
