Strong in change–TheGRAWEGroupcontinues its successful course in 2024
The year 2024 once again showed how important reliability and values orientation are in a constantly changing world. Political and economic uncertainties, technological disruptions and social changes defined the boundary conditions in which the GRAWE Group operated. Despite the challenges – from geopolitical tensions to rising living costs – the Group continued its successful course of the past.
With premium growth of 10% in non-life and accident insurance and 5.8% in life insurance, GRAWE AG was substantially above the industry average (Austrian Insurance Association [VVO] Q4/2024). Premium income rose by 9.4% to EUR 966.2 million. Earnings before taxes (result from ordinary activities) reached EUR 69.6 million.
GRAWE AG proved its financial strength in 2024 too: With a solvency level of 313.8%, it was substantially above the statutory requirement of 100% and underlined once again its stability and reliability.
The positive picture also continued in the consolidated annual financial statements. In the past financial year, premium income increased by 11.8% and reached a figure of EUR 1,529.4 million. Earnings before taxes were increased substantially and reached EUR 195.7 million in 2024.
With the introduction of GRAWE MyMED – the new health insurance in Austria, GRAWE AG opened the next future-oriented chapter in its story. The first year of sales exceeded expectations substantially – the pleasing results underline once again the substantial market potential and customers’ need to insure their health in the best possible way.
In 2024, a comprehensive declaration of sustainability was drawn up on Group level for the first time, in accordance with the new European standards. With that, the GRAWE Group not only set a strong example for responsible conduct but also created the basis for the strategic further development of its sustainability goals.
Guided by clear values that determine its day-to-day conduct, GRAWE Group has succeeded in building on its past successes and systematically expanding its strengths further. This combination of tradition and progress creates the basis for seizing new opportunities, growing in the long term and providing reliable solutions for its customers in the future too.
